Theme : Merry Christmas 

Word of the day : Gift



Christmas is not so much about opening presents, as opening our hearts!

The last meeting for this semester started with warm hearts as all member came together to celebrate the festive occasion. Meeting stated with the newest member Toastmaster of the Evening (TME) TM Teenisha took the stage. Teenisha gave the audience a brief history of Toastmasters International followed by the UMTMC history.

Table Topic Master TM Jacky Wong brought along Table Topics related to meeting's  Christmas  theme.

First Table Topic participant ACB Fatima, title given: "Are you Jealous from Santa".She talked about Santa's elf helper and long holiday period makes her feel jealous from Santa.

Second participant TM Kah Mun, selected the topic,"If I was Santa Clause". He explained how he will lose his weight so he won't get stuck in the chimney on his way out.

Third Table Topics speaker ACS, Jing Yi got the topic called, "I love getting gifts but I hate buying for others". Jing Yi explained that she likes to distribute her gifts to UMTMC, whenever she receives them. 

TM Elisha was a last participant and her title was, "You receive call from Santa, what you'll tell him". Elisha said, she'll confirm first weather its a prank call or not and then she will ask about a present.

Audiences During Meeting

After Table Topics fun session, now its time for Prepared Speech Session.

The first speaker TM Kah Mun did his speech on, "Our Very Own Mother Tongue". In his
speech he talked about Manglish. Manglish is a short for "Malaysian English". Manglish 
is unique dialect of English spoken on the streets of Malaysia. He used  different  accents  and pronunciation that added humor to his speech.

Speaker TM Amelia did her CC #2  Organize Your Speech, titled “Passion vs Necessity”. She shared her idea that necessity is important but passion helps you to drive your life and it can help you survive tough times.

The third speaker of the evening was ACS Heng Jing Yi, who did her CC #10  Inspir Your Audiences, titled 
“I Want To Speak”. In her speech she talked abut her early days at UM when she was a student .  Since from the beginning she was passionate about English and she have never missed a chance of practicing English. Her journey of learning and speaking an English language.

Project speaker ACB Fatima sold the idea of, "Charity" in her ACS Project speech, Sell a 

Product. Fatima highlighted the important points how charity is good for us and it can help 
people. She also shared the sites and different modes of giving charity.

Evaluation session continued after refreshments and General Evaluator (GE) of the evening, CC Sangeeta came in from BASC Toastmasters Club. In her Evaluation she appreciated the team effort and highlighted the good points and the points of improvement.

This meeting was the last meeting for this semester. Next meeting will start in February in a new semester.
