It was our first meeting of the semester and we had it in the open space of Dataran Sastera. The attendance of members was very encouraging and the meeting worked out well.
We didn't expect anyone would come, clap and cheer for the speakers in the open space where other students would be wondering what we were doing in the public. At least we made them thinking that this is a club of public speaking.
The Project Speech Speakers were:
1) TM Khairul Nizam - CC Project #2 - World Cup
2) TM Hui Xin - CC Project #5 - OBS Experience
3) TM Ras Hadi - CC Project #6 - The Quarrel of the Cat and Dog
4) TM Yu He - CC Project # (missed out that one) - The Dating Game
From football to camping, to wolves and finally, Earth.
The Speech Evaluators were:
1) TM Fun Mun Wah
2) ACS CL Deborah Chow and
3) XXX Rishi (you may not want to know the XXX)
Not forgetting our Toastmaster of the Evening, TM Heng Jing Yi.
Perhaps we should have meetings at all the 'dataran' in UM. It can be our UM TMC road show and real public speaking event where the speakers have no choice but to speak in front of the members and public. That could be fun.
