Dear All,

There will be no meetings on 17th February 2010 since we having the semester break and we are still in the CNY mood.

Hopefully, we will be getting our own room for the meetings soon. From there, we shall move up our publicity portfolio.

UNITAR TMC's Speech Contest

The UNITAR TMC'S International Speech and Table Topics Contest is here!

The contestants will strut their stuff, walk the talk and stand on their own feet

By hook or by crook

to deliver their best speech!

So, make yourself available for that exciting Tuesday,9 February 2010 at Ground Floor, TR1, Block B, UNITAR Kelana Jaya.

Here's a taste of what the contest sounds like.

We love to be on time and so do you, so do us both a favour and be there at
6pm for registration

6.30pm the contest will be roLLing!

Third Meeting - Speech Marathon

Our third meeting was started at 5.39 pm by our Sergeant-at-Arms, TM Siew Peng., by calling the meeting to order. President's welcoming was presented by our VPM, TM Fun Mun Wah, who was also the acting President of the meeting.

Guess who was the Toastmaster of the Evening....it was TM Fun too...There were no Table Topics Session in this meeting since it was a speech marathon. The following the Project Speech Speakers :

1) CC Project#1 - The Ice Breaker - "About Myself" by TM Arissa

2) CC Project#5 - Your Body Speaks - "Accident" by TM Khairulnizam

3) CC Project# 9 - Persuade with Power - "The Benefits of Being a Vegetarian" by TM Ivy Lau

4) CC Project#9 - Persuade with Power - "Hybrid Car - Get It Now!!!" by TM Rishi

The Project Speech Evaluators were:

1) TM Rishi

2) TM Fun

3) DTM Dr Devi Menon

Arissa took the first step in Toastmasters with her Ice Breaker speech. She explained all about her name, Arissa. Khairulnizam explained his experience with accident, while, Ivy explained about the needs to be a vegetarian. We don't want to harm or kill cute little things, right?

General Evaluator of the meeting was Dr. Devi Menon. The role players were

1) Ah Counter - Wan Hooi - our new guest

2) Grammarian - TM Siew Peng - first timer for this role

3) Timer - TM Arissa - first timer too for this role

Wan Hooi, if you are reading this, thank you and we hope you will be coming to the next meeting. We welcome guests with open heart.

Anyone has a camera phone? I think we should take pictures for the upcoming meetings.
