Eighth Meeting - Healthy Living

The meeting was held on 24th March 2010. I know it's a bit late to write a report on the meeting, but XOXO has been quite busy for the past few days. It's 6.00 in the morning now and XOXO woke up just to complete this report, as the responsibility to the club. I can already see tears appearing from the eyes who are reading this now.

Just kidding around....ahaha...let's go back to our 'business'.

The theme of the meeting was 'Healthy Living' and the word of the day was - Healthy. Meaning : A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. Example: Everybody needs a good diet to be healthy.

TM Ras Hadi gave a welcoming speech as the VPE and TM Fun was the Toastmaster of the Evening. For the first time, the Table Topics Master was CC Heng Jing Yi...*I could hear claps*. Hold on...suddenly I feel that it was her third time. Well, I have no idea.

The Table Topics Speakers were:

1) Ivy Lau

2) Ng Lay Choo

3) Khairul Nizam

4) Fun Mun Wah

5) Rishi

Guess who won the session? Yes, it was Fun....our very own member who will be competing on the Division W contest, the Champion of Table Topics Area W5. * I could hear claps...again...*

The Table Topics Evaluator was DTM Dr Devi Menon. Next was the Project Speech session. The Project Speech Speakers were as follows:

1) CC Project#7 - Petronas Twin Tower - TM Arissa

2) CC Project#10 - It Has Been a Journey - TM Ras Hadi

3) CC Project #10 - Homestay - TM Khairul Nizam

4) Entertaining Speaker Project#4 - It's a Dog Bite Dog World - ACB CL Ng Lay Choo

Our General Evaluator was ACS CL Vijaya. The Project Speech Evaluators were as follows:

1) CC Heng Jing Yi

2) DTM Dr Devi Menon

3) ACB CL Ng Lay Choo

4) ACS CL Vijaya

The role players were:

1) Ah Counter - TM Arissa

2) Grammarian - TM Rishi

3) Time Keeper - CC Ivy Lau

Congrats!!!!! It's our fourth CC of the semester.

We also had two guests in this meeting - ACS CL Vijaya and ACB CL Ng Lay Choo. Yeah, we are lucky to have all the high ranking Toastmasters in our club, including DTM Dr Devi. But we are still waiting for DTM Vincent to come to our meeting too. DTM Vincent is now concentrating on a new chartered club, in which their meetings also falls on Wednesday. And not forgetting Miss Christine Khoo and Miss Christine Ong.
