The usage of plastic bags should be reduced as it is not a biodegradable product. Some shopping malls use bioegradable type of plastic bags which however would not last long. Paper bags can also be used, but the most effective way is to bring our own environmental friendly bag. Don't forget to pay first before inserting groceries in the bag.

the best way is to bring your own shopping bags. Why? First of all, you help save the environment by reducing the usage of plastic bags. Secondly you educate the younger generation on reduce, reuse and recycle. And last but not least you don't have to worry of getting rid of the expanding number of plastic bags you receive every time you shop.

Yes, I would agree, bring your own bags! That's also to cut cost. In Russia they used to do that as a rule, every one brought his/her own! That reminds me of a Russian woman (in US) who was charged with shop-lifting! She simply put whatever she liked in her own bag! A security officer noticed... and she had tough time to convince them (she couldn't speak English). At a court case it was highlighted that she was used to that style of shopping, back home (in Russia)! :)

Public transport is the best way to travel from one place to another, if it's really efficient. You can see that in some countries, the public transport goes on for 24 hours a day just to cater for poor people who work day and night without their own transport. Public transport can be regarded as a type of community service - not expecting high profits.

I bought a new handphone from a shopping mall recently.Upon paid, i took my new handphone with its box and return the big plastic bag.It is my style to bring a bag to shopping so that i do not bring too much plastic bags home and thus reduce the usage of platic bags.

Well, I normally carry big handbags so whenever I purchase anything, I'll throw it into my bag. However, it is not advisable for huge items. Bringing your own bag or like what Azmi said, raga sendiri, is indeed the best idea!

Public transport. Yes, only if it is more efficient. With the recent hike, my mom has been using Rapid KL a lot and apparently, it is very convenient. My only concern is her safety when walking to the bus stations. Hence, although it might be a little more expensive, private transportation may be safer. Especially for women.
