Meeting no: 162

Theme : Unity Is Strength

Word of the day : Wholeness

"Unity is strength... when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful thing can be achieved."  Mattie Stepanek.

Unity means oneness, or togetherness. When there is oneness there is likely to be more strength in opinion, more strength in action, and more strength in character. If you take a stick, it could break easily. But when you take a bundle of sticks, it will be harder to break.

This is the unique power of unity. UMTMC is like a family, in which we enjoy together, work together and share our love for public speaking. In UM toastmasters we  mix with our peers and share knowledge of learning.

As the meeting started the cheerful and bubbly TME, ACB Fatima Ajmal took the stage and shared her moments of unity with the members.

TME, ACB Fatima Ajmal
The first session kicked off and table topics master, TM Kah Mun bought in some interesting table topic based on tonight's theme "Unity is strength".

The proverb " United we stand, divided we fall", refers to the state of being one. A rope is

strong when its threads are united. Our community and club will be stronger if we stay

united. Nothing can be achieved without unity. To tackle our communication problems it

requires a lot of unity among us. To be  a good speaker, all we need to do, is to work

together and achieve our triumph.

Unity means "all for one, and one for all".
